Get involved in the International Committee & SNAPS

As a member of the Pharmaceutical Student Union you are also a member of SNAPS which gives you a unique opportunity to connect with pharmacists worldwide.

At SNAPS annual autumn meeting, all members have the opportunity to be present in person or via Skype and run for the various Board seats.

A written nomination should be submitted to the Nomination committee. In the explanatory letter, remember to explain why you would fit into the current post, for example,. if you have previous experience that can be useful for the post that you want to run for.

President

It is the responsibility of the designated President to:
– lead SNAPS-meetings as well as SNAPS-Board meetings.
– daily take care of the continuous work of SNAPS and actively keep a dialogue with the Union representatives.
– represent SNAPS in public contexts.

The President is SNAPS face outwards and has the ultimate responsibility to represent the organization in public contexts. Your primary responsibility is to coordinate and delegate tasks to other board members. As President you don't always have a specific job assignment but rather, you are responsible for ensuring that targets are achieved, that things are planned in time as well as to make sure that there is a good mood and motivation among the board members . To be an appropriate President you should be positive, dedicated and like to plan and implement projects. You should also be able to delegate out work assignments and make sure other board members are doing their job right. As President, you must be easily accessible, be able to answer questions and support other board members if they encounter problems.

Treasurer

It is the responsibility of the designated Treasurer to:
– run SNAPS financial accounts throughout the year.
– complete a financial report at the end of the year.
– add a draft budget before the coming year.

SNAPS Treasurer is responsible for the economy. The Treasurer shall keep the accounts of the organization on an ongoing basis and at the end of the year make a financial report and present a proposal at the next annual budget. As the Treasurer you are also responsible for a large part of the contact with companies and plan to increase sponsorship for various events. SNAPS Treasurer is also preferred to stand as the signatory of the organization, together with the President. As Treasurer you are active in all parts of SNAPS, and to be the Treasurer means a great responsibility which is very educational.

Secretary

It is the responsibility of the Secretary to:
– establish the agenda and convene to board meetings and SNAPS-meetings. to keep a record of the meeting at the SNAPS-meetings and SNAPS-board meetings.
– collect and pass on information to member unions and SNAPS board.

As Secretary, your main responsibility is to handle SNAPS document management. This means that you, together with the President will send the invitation to the annual meetings, as well as other SNAPS arrangement. It's your job as the Secretary to ensure that SNAPS board meetings are minuted and adjusted properly. As Secretary, you will also be responsible for ensuring that the website is continuously updated.

EPSA Liasion Secretary

It is the responsibility of the EPSA Liasion Secretary to:
– assist the President and at his maturity, fulfilling his/hers commitments.
– along with the official contact person for IPSF, coordinate the international work in SNAPS with a special responsibility for questions regarding EPSA.
– make sure that information on international issues reaches the member unions.

The EPSA Contact Person's primary task is to work together with the IPSF Contact Person and the President to manage the coordination of all the international work in SNAPS. You are SNAPS public face in EPSA and there you are assigned the role as the Liaison Secretary (LS) and is therefore the intermediary of EPSA at a national level. Important tasks for LS is to actively disseminate information to Swedish students concerning EPSAs events, internships, congresses and other EPSA-related information. As the LS in EPSA you actively participate in discussions regarding the organisation, help other countries' LS, maintains contact with EPSA:s different team members and travel most often as an official delegate to the two annual conferences, where the General Assembly is held. As an official delegate, you sit with Sweden's vote and thus represent Swedish pharmaceutical students opinions within the European Affairs. It is also the responsibility as the LS to arrange a Swedish delegation that goes to the Annual Congress and Autumn Assembly.

IPSF Contact Person

It is the responsibility of the IPSF Contact Person to:
– assist the President and at his maturity, fulfilling his/hers commitments.
– along with the official contact person for EPSA, coordinate the international work in SNAPS with special responsibility for issues regarding IPSF. make sure that information on international issues reaches the member unions.

The IPSF Contact Person manages, along with President and EPSA Contact Person, the coordination of international work in SNAPS. The IPSF Contact Person also has the task of ensuring that information about international issues reaches member unions. This post serves as the link between IPSF and SNAPS and should also enable that IPSF:s campaigns can be implemented at both a local and national level. It is the responsibility of the IPSF Contact Person to put together a delegation to the Annual Congress and possibly to other events.

Member

It is the responsibility of the Member to:
– be responsible that SNAPS is represented on the member union's student council and act as a link to SNAPS.
– work to maintain contact between the various member unions.
– represent SNAPS President when he/she can not attend

The Member works primarily at the national level and has to represent the SNAPS Board at local student councils, work to maintain contact between the various member unions and represent the President SNAPS when he/she can not attend. The Member's role can be varied from year to year. 2014 the Member has also been a link between students in Uppsala, where SNAPS local group is located, and Gothenburg as well as Umeå.

PR Manager

It is the responsibility of the PR Manager to:
– promote SNAPS, events and congresses for students.
– have the ultimate responsibility for planning events
– to have the ultimate responsibility for graphic material

As the PR Manager your main task is to manage marketing and inform about SNAPS, its activities, events and congresses. The PR Manager is, together with the President, SNAPS representative toward the students and member unions (therefore, it is a plus if you like to talk to and inspire people). The PR Manager has the ultimate responsibility for all graphic material and to continuously update SNAPS Facebook page.

Auditor

It is the responsibility of the Auditors to:
– review the activities of the SNAPS board and to review the financial management, as well as to the spring meeting give an auditor's report thereon. The report shall be completed so that it can be sent out to member unions at the latest one week before the spring meeting.

An auditor is wanted for year 2015. Your work do not extend over the entire year, but ends when the audit has been conducted and presented.
